Bring it on Home…

Bring+it+on+Home...

With the first ever Page vs Grimsley football game coming up this Friday, there is much anticipation on both sides. This is one of the greatest football games played during the year and this is the first time this game has ever been played on our turf… Marion Kirby Stadium. The tradition has been to play this game at Jamison Stadium home of the Grimsley Whirlies. The Pirates are ready for this adventure as planning has been taking place for over a year. When we asked Rusty Lee what he thought about the game, he said “We are excited about the chance to host this game; we want to pack the house with Page and Grimsley fans to make this a memorable event.” This game will not be a game to miss! Roberto Diaz, a 1983 graduate, said he’s “glad that the home team has a game at the home field for the first time and the Page family should be proud of their team!” The spirit wear committee has created the Page Grimsley shirt called “Bring It Home”, with a picture of the Page stadium on the back as keepsake students and alumni can purchase to remember this night. “In all my years of being principal I have always thought we should have given this a try!” Says Mr. Clendenin, who was a legendary formal principal at Page for 30 years that most alumni had and come back to see each year. “We are excited and ready!” Says Bill Jones, the parent football rep. Come out October 16 to witness one of the greatest rivalries in North Carolina. You will be amongst the greatest and witness history!
