Dr. Faison to Become Superintendent of Thomasville City Schools

As many of you may know, our principal of almost five years, Dr. Patrice Faison will be leaving Page High School and Guilford County. She has been hired as the new superintendent of Thomasville City Schools, in Thomasville, North Carolina. Dr. Faison says that she “Always wants to continue climbing the ladder, onto bigger and better things,” which is why she decided to take the position. Although Faison loves everyone at Page, she is excited to become a superintendent and further her career. Dr. Faison says that her experiences here prepared her for this new job and that during her time here, she grew in that she was forced to “wear so many different hats,” and was kept honest by the diversity and differences she inherited by taking the job here four and a half years ago. “Page opened my eyes to a whole new level of diversity, which made her see things from a different perspective,” says Dr. Faison. While Faison lifted Page to a much higher standard academically, she admits that the great success of hosting the Page-Grimsley rivalry matchup is her proudest moment as principal here. Dr. Faison says that her good friend and former assistant principal, Mrs. Ashton Clemmons, who is now the principal of Brooks Global School has helped Dr. Faison out the most. Faison says the will miss “the people at Page the most, from the students to the staff. Everyone.” She feels that without Page, she wouldn’t have gotten the new position and would’ve been totally and completely unprepared to advance herself, both as a person, and as a professional.

If you see Dr. Faison in the halls, be sure to thank her for everything she did here at Page, and wish her luck in her next “adventure” as she called it, as the superintendent of Thomasville City Schools.
