After two hard fought days, our boys won the GCS championship on January 31^st at the JDL Fast Track in Winston Salem with 97.5 points total, which is 30 points better than any other team. Key performances by the boys were:  Garrett Willett (5^th in 300 meter dash), Zach Wynn(5^th in high jump), Trey Cousar(3^rd in 300 meter dash and 1^st in high jump), Freddie Marx (3^rd in 1600 meter run and 2^nd in 3200 meter run), 3^rd place in 4×400 meter relay, Nathan Hayes(2^nd in high jump), and 2^nd place in 4×800 meter relay, Ian Shanklin(1^st in 100 meter run).

The girls scored 29 points this meet, finishing eighth. Some of the top performances for the girls were Ellie Verchick (6^th in 1600 meter run and 5^th in 3200 meter run), Sydney DeBerry (6^th in high jump and 3^rd in long jump), and our 4×800 meter relay team that placed 4^th.
