Meet our Interim Principal, Mr. Hines

Following Dr. Faison’s departure, Mr. Eric Hines will serve as the interim principal here at Page. Mr. Hines was previously the principal at NC A&T Middle/Early College. Hines also was voted Guilford County Schools principal of the year in 2012. Up until this point, Mr. Hines served the county as the Director of Equity and Inclusion, where he assisted in professional development to teachers, principals, and other office staff. Mr. Hines has served Guilford County schools many times, including teaching and coaching at Grimsley High, Kiser Middle, and Eastern Guilford Middle, as well as Rockingham County High and T. Wingate High. Following his term in the Central Office, Hines is happy to be back among students day-to-day, saying that he feels “Like a fish in water.” Mr. Hines says that the central office is not where he belongs, and that his spot in in a school, that now he is able to “breathe easily again.”

Mr. Hines is a very educational based person, earning his Master of School Administration from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, History and Technology Education degrees from North Carolina A&T State University, and a Business Administrative degree from North Carolina Central University. Hines is well liked by his former colleagues and is generally looked at as a very successful educator, who seems to fit well with the environment here at Page, thanks to his extensive background working in schools. Mr. Hines will serve as interim principal through the end of the 2016-2017 school year.
