The Pirates Play 80!!

The Pirates’ women soccer team had a goal for their season this year: to “Play Eighty” in a match. They finally achieved it in a match against the Southern Alamance Patriots. The match was played at Southern Alamance High school on 4/20. The Pirates dominated, as the game end in a 6-2 win for the Pirates making them 14-1. Head coach Jim Pielow said, “It was a big win; it was closest we got to “playing eighty” this season. We played well early in the game which helped us a lot and got us the result. It was a big win, but we still have to play them again and we have Grimsley twice so we still got work on some things.” The Pirates have had a great season. They have their first rivalry match against the Grimsley Whirlies on April 26th which is late in the season because of cancellation due to unfortunate weather. Let’s go get that dub Pirates!
