Club Corner: Math Club

The Math Club here at Page, otherwise known as the Mu Alpha Theta Honor Society, is a unique way for math lovers to come together. According to Mr. Pielow, one of the club’s sponsors and math teacher, the club members share a love for mathematics by telling math jokes and celebrating “Pi Day” on March 14th. In order to be a member of this club you must have a 3.0 GPA, have an A or B final grade in each math class, complete at least six hours of mathematical service each semester, and be enrolled in a math class beyond Math III. When asked about what she enjoys most about this club, co-president Maddie Heyn, said “I enjoy that we are all nerds who like math.” Mu Alpha Theta usually meets on the second Monday of every month and participates in nationwide math challenges. If you are interested in joining this club, you can contact Mrs. Katz, Mr. Moses, Ms. Averett, or Mr. Pielow, the club sponsors. So, if you love math, make sure to join the Mu Alpha Theta Honor Society.
