Students of the Month – December 2016

The male Student of the Month for the month of December is Bill Osteen. Not only is he an AP student, but he excels as the varsity lacrosse goalie. Bill says that he handles his studies and extracurricular activities with “Time management. It’s definitely tough, especially when I’m really busy. I often have to sacrifice my free time to ensure I get all of my work done.” While Bill does not have a job during the school year, he said, “I typically work during the summer when I have more free time.” Bill makes sure to stay very involved in the community. He stays involved by “Volunteering at the soup kitchen and by tutoring. Also, when I was a Boy Scout I did a lot of volunteer work but now I really only do work with my troop over the summer. I also will make sure I have to do more service work to log for NHS, the National Honors Society. Other than lacrosse, Bill is on the cross country team, the wrestling team, and a member on Student Council. Bill is unsure about what his plans for after high school, but we are sure he will accomplish great successes. Congratulations, Bill! We are excited to see where life takes you!
