Farewell to our Girls Basketball Season!

Our Pirates’ women’s basketball team sadly ended their 20-8, No.1 conference seed season last night against Hough High School. With the score of 46-36 our girls fell 10 points short to move on to the third round of playoffs. Leading the Hough Huskies going  into halftime up 21-14, the Huskies came back out in the 3rd quarter and the 4th quarter scoring a total of 32 points in the half to our 15. Our Pirates had an incredible season: from defeating our rival Grimsley three times in one season to making it to the second round of playoffs. I was able to speak to senior, Amari Jackson who has played basketball for Page for all four years of her high school career.

She says “These past four years playing basketball for Page have really been awesome. Not only did I grow as a person but I built a strong relationship with my teammates. I thank my coaches for pushing me and wanting the best for my teammates and I look forward to the next chapter in my life and I had a great season with great people” We congratulate you and Thank you for 4 great seasons and wish you the best!

We are looking forward to what our pirates have in store for Girls Basketball next year!
