The Men and Women’s Indoor Track and Field Team is coached by David Blue. The team ran in their first meet hosted by North Stokes, at the JDL Fast Track in Winston Salem, NC. 22 Pirates participated in the meet. Page came in 1st in the Girls 4×200 Meter Relay, while Sydney Deberry took 1st in the Girls Triple Jump Finals. Jaedon Barnett received second in the 500 Meter Dash along with the boys earning 2nd in the Boys 4×400 Meter Relay Finals. Julia Taylor finished 2nd in the Girls 500 Meter Dash Finals.
The Pirates participated in the Southwest Guilford Invitational #1, which was hosted by Southwest Guilford. The meet was run at the JDL Fast Track in Winston Salem. Overall the Pirates entered 43 team members to participate in the meet. Julia Taylor received first in the girls 500 Meter Dash while, Sydney Deberry received 2nd in the Girls Long Jump along with 3rd in the Girls Triple Jump. For the men Assad Alston earned 1st in the Boys 500 Meter Dash out of 51 in the total participants in the event and Naseem Alston got 2nd in the Boys 55 Meter Hurdle Finals to help-out the Pirates and 2nd in the Boys 55 Meter. In the Boys 1600 Meter Run, Pirate runner Cam Milroy received 1st in the event and Nick Butler took home 3rd in the Boys Shot Put Finals. The Pirates earned 1st, 2nd, and 4th in the Boys Triple Jump. Nick Butler took home 3rd in the Boys Shot Put Finals.
