On February 14, 2019, Page’s men’s wrestling team entered the NCHSAA 2019 4A State Championship. Wrestlers from across the state competed in a three-day state tournament, which wrapped up on Saturday with the championships. After the first two days, Page was in 16th place out of 53 teams. On Saturday, senior Rodo Robinson, wrestled his way into 4th place in the 182ib weight class and on the podium for an Individual state title. Jacob Woodburn wrestled for a state championship title in the 106ib weight class. The freshman lost his match, but finished second in the weight class. The team overall finished 22 out of the 53 teams present. Their finish raises much hope for future seasons, and a top half placement helps the players focus on working hard so next season a state title could be in reach.
