Vollayball Ends Season with 11-11 Record

On October 10, the third day of back to back meets, Page’s volleyball team played against Grimsley. Unfortunately, the rivalry match was a loss after a tough fight. Grimsley won three sets while Page trailed behind but only came out winning two. Later that week, Page lost to Northwest Guilford. In their final game of the season, a game played against East Forsyth, Page won two sets, but East Forsyth came out with a victory after being first to reach three sets. The season ended with Page having an equal number of wins and an equal number of losses, 11-11. This same pattern was shown in their conference games due to their 4-4 record. While the Pirates did not finish the season off with victories, the team had a great season, and many athletes were recognized on the team’s 2019 Most Valuable Player Plank. After each game, this plank was used to recognize Page High School’s very own volleyball athletes who had an outstanding performance. By the end of the season, the plank was filled, displaying the support shown inside the team and the growth of each athlete.
