Club Corner: Leo’s Club

The Leo’s Service Learning Club is run by Ms. Milton and meets in the Media Center twice a month, usually on Wednesdays. It promotes service in our community and in our school. The types of service can consist of volunteer work such as working in a soup kitchen, etc. This club is beneficial to students because it gives them the knowledge of the service learning movements going on in our school and in our world in general. The students will be ambassadors for change in our community and school one project at a time. It also builds good character traits with every experience the students may have. Another way it can benefit students is by gaining service learning hours for every meeting or volunteer work that they participate in during their years of high school. This looks very good on college applications. So, in all the Leo’s Service Learning Club creates the understanding and awareness of the needs of our community, school, and world we live in.
