New Year’s resolutions…We all make them right before the year is about to end or the first day of the year. When we think about the New Year, we think highly of ourselves and set goals that we never actually achieve, or with the exception of the first two weeks or so of January. I feel that when people make their lists of resolutions, they think they have to try and get everything done on their list within the first month of January. Resolutions aren’t meant to be completed within the first month of the New Year, they are meant to happen and adjust over the course of the New Year. As for myself, in the past I was one to make resolutions and not follow through with them just for the simple fact that I thought I had to achieve everything within the course of 31 days. Although, as for this year, I have a different mindset, and I’m not talking about the famous “new year, new me” or any other cliché people say when a new year approaches. I have adapted the mindset where I just go day by day and do my very best to incorporate my resolutions. I feel that that is the best way for me to actually fulfill my year with the resolutions I really want to achieve. Speaking on mindsets and resolutions, I hope that every last one you Page Pirates have achieved or attempted one of your new year’s resolutions as January of 2018 comes to a close. P.S. don’t panic if you haven’t achieved one of your resolutions, you still have 11 more months to get to it.
