In school, we never really focus on building a relationship with our teachers; we focus on what our teachers have to offer us in regards to our grades. As for teachers, they focus on their teaching skills and how they can teach us, so we will eventually graduate and be successful. I get that some may say that there is nothing wrong with that, but in some people’s perspective, it is. As for myself, I can say that I don’t have a problem with my teacher not having a bond or any type of formal relation, but it does bother me that I don’t have someone I can confide in or talk to. if I needed. There are probably a handful of teachers who have bonds with their students, and not only focus on our academic perspective.
When teachers and students focus on grades and student-teacher relations rather just grades, everyone functions better in my opinion and in the Atlanta- Journal Constitution’s opinion. Students but teachers mostly should care more about their students rather than just their test grades.
