1. THE TRADITIONAL PIEDMONT WINTERFEST: Located in Downtown Greensboro
The 2022-23 season is finally here! All ages and levels of experience are welcome, so please be sure to come out and have some great winter fun this season. The rink is back at the same location as last year: Greensboro’s Lebauer Park at 208 North Davie Street. The time runs through January 29th, and will then close until next winter season. The cost of one ticket is only $15! If you need skates, they will be available where you purchase tickets. The rink is open daily, but make sure to check online to see if there are any changes due to inclement weather conditions.
2. WINTER WONDERLIGHTS: Located at the Greensboro Science Center
Do you want to make merrymaking Christmas memories this year? Then Winter Wonderlights is where you need to be. This experience should be a must-visit on your Christmas bucket list. Here are a few things you can expect on your trip: Beautiful lights, snacks and drinks, and holiday cheer! When planning your experience, try your very best to pick a night with a comfortable temperatures to avoid an excruciatingly cold walk. Even so, make sure to wear something warm and cozy for the most enjoyable experience! Prices range from $16-25 per person, and children 2 or younger receive free admission. All the way from 5:30pm-10:00pm, you can expect a great time.
3. PEPPERMINT ALLEY: Located in Downtown Greensboro
Throughout the entire month of December, downtown Greensboro is catering lots of holiday celebratory events. If you and your family are searching for something festive to do, take a walk along Peppermint Alley! If you are one who loves to take pictures, this is the place for you. This event is recurring daily from 3:00pm-9:00pm. Location: Alley next to Boxcar Arcade- 120 W. Lewis Street. Have fun!
4. CHRISTMAS FESTIVAL AT MCLAURIN FARMS: Located at 5601 N Church St, 27455
Although Woods of Terror has come to an end for the season, we are thrilled to hear that McLaurin Farms is hosting their annual Christmas Festival for families looking for an amazing Christmas event. This is, however, not your typical light show. Kids will have the opportunity to visit Santa, take pictures at one of the amazing photo spots, and- best of all- enjoy a hayride guiding you through the lights of the season. RESERVATIONS WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE THIS YEAR. Everyone must check in at the ticket booth, even if they have already purchased tickets online. Prices vary depending on the day: $15 on Thursdays, $20 on Fridays, $25 on Saturdays and Sundays. Parking is $10 in cash. Note that ages 2 and younger get free admission.
