Have you ever wondered why someone says bless you when someone sneezes? Many believe that it’s a polite gesture or a way to wish good health. There are many superstitions for why we say “bless you”, for example: sneezing can cause your soul to temporarily leave your body which could cause evil spirits to invade it, so saying “bless you” can ward them away or help your soul come back or during the Bubonic plague sneezing was seen as a symptom so they thought people that sneezed was close to death, so it’s thought that they said “God bless” as a way to pray for the person that sneezed well being.
