Florence was a devastating storm that recently ravaged the East Coast. Florence’s rage has caused the death of over 40 people and still rising, along with power outages for over a million people. Florence was here a while ago and is still disastrous as many states and cities are flooded. If you thought that’s scary, meteorologists said that Florence has a slim chance of reappearing as its remnants have yet to dissipate. Florence’s remnants aren’t as big but, the latest tracking of Florence’s remnants moving said there’s a 20% chance to attack again. What do you think Florence 2.0? Florence’s flooding has caused catastrophic damage which has broken streets, bridges, homes and more. Florence’s unwanted damage cost an estimate of $17 billion-$22 billion and could go even higher. Florence’s rainfall over the three days it stayed were said to be a 1,000 year event, but the rare event could happen more often if the climate changes. Florence dumped about 8 trillion gallons of rain which is enough to fill 12 Olympic swimming pools. Now, that’s a lot of rain. Florence was expected to rise to a near category 5, but instead downgraded to a category one which wasn’t as threatening, but it was still extremely terrifying. Luckily, it missed Greensboro and The Page Community, making us stronger than ever and dreaming even bigger. Florence was terrifying for the few days it stayed and now it’s gone leaving us better and great.
