As we are now in November, we must remember that this month is regarded as the Native American month that specializes in the recognition of Native Americans throughout the world, whether it be in the South or North, East, or West, this month values everybody. Thousands celebrate the traditions with its remarkable diversity of American Indian and Alaska Native cultures. We also remember and honor our veterans who have sacrificed so much to defend the United States of America. This month is also dedicated to the attention gained from Native culture, traditions, and achievements that were often overlooked.
Every single November, The United States pays tribute alongside many others to the richness and diversity of their people; thousands of people have complained about the lack of recognition American Indians have had during that time, and in response, The U.S. Congress designated that October was to have a “Native American awareness week” in 1976. Only until August of 1990 did they decide to change that. Making November dedicated to the Natives throughout the past, present, and future.
