Father killed on I-40 In Road Rage Incident
On the morning of March 7th, 35-year-old Ricardo Baez Cardenas was on his way to work, according to another driver following Cardenas, a sedan attempted to make a tight merge into the lane Cardenas was in. The witness says both drivers began to drive aggresively, then he heard the sounds of gunshots and glass shattering. The driver’s dash cam recorded footage of the incident.
The witness then called emergency services, and Cardenas was rushed to the hospital, but he unfortunately passed away late that same afternoon. Hours later, Josue Alejandro Quintanilla-Reyes was arrested and then charged with the murder of Cardenas. Quintanilla-Reyes remains in custody and is awaiting trial. This incident has emphasized the importance of road safety and not letting emotions control the way you drive.
