The Pirates terrific postseason run finally came to an end this Saturday in the State Championship game against the defending champion Mallard Creek. After upsetting multiple teams and playing great football throughout the playoffs, Page suffered a tough 49-6 loss. The Pirates were unable to get any rhythm going offensively and struggled to display the confidence they have had all season. Quarterback Will Jones said that he was upset with the game, but was proud of his team regardless for coming as far as they did. This season was a tremendous one as a whole, and the Pirates should be proud of it. No matter the final outcome, getting to the State Championship is very impressive in itself. We should be proud of our football team, Go Pirates!
