The Pirates set a high standard for this season, in a win on Tuesday, March 6 at Bryan Park. The men’s golf team ousted Grimsley, Southeast Guilford, Southern Alamance, Smith, and Dudley. Alec Lloyd, Whit Edwards, Mack Pearsall, Grey Hyatt, William Ambro, and Ryan Trumbo were the six players for Page. The teams next match was Wednesday, March 7 against Northwest at the Greensboro Country Club. There, the Pirates shot 153, beating Northwest by 16 shots, proving who the conference’s top team is. On Friday, March 17, the Pirates played in the Tarheel Invitational Tournament at Tanglewood versus almost fifteen other teams, and placed third.
