Almost 2 months into their season, Page Women’s Varsity Tennis is looking stronger than ever. Sporting a 10-1 record with the only loss coming in just the second match to an extremely talented Cardinal Gibbons(Raleigh) team, the Pirates have won nine straight matches. This win streak covers all of September, which included many memorable victories including two strong wins over rival Grimsley High School. Other notable victories include shutting out Ragsdale twice with scores of 9-0 and 5-0, and shutting out Northern Guilford 6-0 on September 26th. So far, the Pirates have only played one match in October, resulting in an 8-1 victory against High Point Central. Tomorrow, they face off against Northwest Guilford at 5:00 in the afternoon. After that marks the start of the Conference Tournament, in which the Pirates are scheduled to play Wesleyan Christian Academy on Monday, October 8th. Best of luck to the Tennis team as they cruise into the Playoffs!
