September’s student of the month is Eman Carter. Eman is an outstanding student, athlete, and friend. She is in the International Baccalaureate program, and maintains an A average in all of her classes even though the work is extremely challenging. Not only does she do well in her schoolwork, but she also has a job at Bojangles and is a trainer for the football team. She spends at least 2 hours a day after school helping out the football players, and stays even longer on Friday nights and when the team has Saturday practices. When she isn’t staying after to do football training she is working at her part-time job. Eman also is in several clubs such as S.L.A.P. club, which earns service learning hours, Mu Alpha Theta, which tutors kids in math, and she is the president of the National Honor Society. She is also in Spanish National Honor Society and in Anchor club. Along with being a great student and leader, she is also a great athlete. She plays on the Page basketball team and has been playing since her freshman year. Eman has many friends and has definitetly been an awesome friend to them all throughout high school. Eman’s favorite song is “I like it” by Cardi B. I asked Eman where she wanted to go to college, and what she wanted to study and she said, “I want to go to Carolina and major in physical therapy.” So excited to see what the future holds for her.
