Being a freshman at any high school is a little nerve wracking, I say as a freshman myself. At first, I wasn’t ready for high school, but being at Page is changing my perspective slowly every day. I usually talk to my friends who go to different schools, and I realize that I am pretty lucky to be here. At Page, there’s a lot of freedom but not to the point where you can do whatever you want. There are so many clubs as well, so don’t feel like you only have limited options, or you’re doing the same things as everyone else. Next are the teachers and staff. I can’t speak for everyone, but with my experience now, all my teachers are chill and straightforward. The staff are helpful and stay out of the way if you’re doing what you’re supposed to do. After a few days of being a freshman, you really stop being nervous. You realize that everyone really keeps to themselves here and focuses on the bigger things. I feel like Page has a lot more opportunities for freshmen than other schools do. I feel like a lot of schools treat freshmen like babies, but Page gives us the same opportunities as anyone else.
