The Women’s Volleyball team started the season with a tough 1-7 record. Losses coming against Asheboro, North Lincoln, Ronald Reagan, and Northern Guilford. The Pirates also left the Tri-Match @ Fairchild Community Center with another two losses against Southern Alamance and Carrboro High School. The Pirates first win of the season came on August 19th in a home victory against Bartlett Yancy High School, 3 sets to 2. The team started conference play against Ragsdale on Tuesday. The Pirates looked very impressive in a win, 3 sets to 0. The team was lead by captains Helen Hamilton, Maddie Gentry, and Caroline Fitzgerald. The Volleyball team looks to continue their dominating conference play with a game against High Point Central tonight at home.
