I only discovered this a few weeks ago. You may be asking yourself “What is it counting down to?”. It’s telling us “the amount of time humans have left to take action to prevent the worst effects of climate change from occurring and becoming irreversible.”

With only 4 years left, this sounds like a plot out of a movie, but unfortunately, it’s not fiction. Netflix might be working on the next climate thriller, but our real lives are at stake.

So why isn’t anyone talking about this? Well, the people behind the clocks are just waiting for governments to stand up and take notice of the crisis. Individual actions can help too, but the government’s going to have to act on a global scale for a greater impact.

The Climate Clock might say 4 years, but if we act now, we can still change that. It’s not just up to governments, it’s on all of us to demand change and protect our future. We can’t let time just run out.
