I first got into Legos because my mom had built the bonsai tree and flower bouquet. I thought it was so cool, the next thing I knew I got a Harry Potter Lego Set.
After that, I’ve been into building Legos. It’s very calming because once you get your music playing, you just go with the flow and it goes by quickly. I’ve done around 7-8 sets, the only con for me is that it’s costly but other than the prices I recommend it if you like to work with your hands and never know what to do. Some sets that I’ve done are, rose bouquet, Mandrake, Mario Piranha Plant, Moana’s Flowerpot, Customizable Droids from Star Wars, Groot, and as I stated before a Harry Potter set that sadly I don’t have a picture of. But I have a picture of every other set even the ones my mom built.
Legos began manufacturing in 1949 so they’ve been around for 76 years, the first Lego minifigure was the Police Officer it was first introduced in 1978 and the first set was a garage with an automatic door introduced in 1956. The biggest Lego ever sold was the Lego Art 31203 World Map, which contains 11,695 pieces the highest amount I’ve built was 1,673 or so maybe even 2,225 but imagine 11,695 pieces. A fun fact about the Lego name is that it comes from the first two letters of the Danish word LEG GODT which means “play well”. Now, we all know the stereotype that only nerds play with Legos which to me is not quite true Legos can be for everyone you just have to find the ones you like and they’re quite easy, it’s not something that you have to do in one day you’re able to take your time with them, just imagine having a separate room for things that you built that to me is an accomplishment, and being able to show your kids things that you built and letting them build Legos of their own and putting them in that same room as yours.
