The Central Carolina Fair has been around since 1898. It started as an agricultural exhibit and then merged with Piedmont Tobacco Fair; The combination led to the Winston-Salem Fair. the fair began to get many names over the years, such as the Greensboro Agricultural Fair. It was given this name to reflect its origins and focus on agricultural events. In 1999, the name was officially changed to the Greensboro Central Carolina Agricultural Fair. In 2015, the name was simplified to Central Carolina Fair, which is a name that goes back to a 1900 event and which also reflects the area that the fair is located better. Many people go to the fair with friends and family to have a great time and for the fair food. The fair starts August 29 and ends September 14. So you have 3 weeks of fun with friends and family. The fair’s admission is $7 and for an unlimited ride band it costs $30 (Monday through Friday) and $35 (Saturday through Sunday); Some of the activities that they have are, traditional games, a petting zoo, a circus, a 90 ft super drop, and a freak out swinging pendulum.
