Pennies For Pasta

Pennies+For+Pasta

Once a year there, is a fundraiser called Pennies for Pasta at our school and all around the country. This fundraiser supports the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. With every penny put in, it goes towards helping fund this mission of finding a cure for this disease that affects many in our community and across the world. Students bring their spare change and drop it in a box. The class in each school that raises the most money receives a pasta party from Olive Garden. This happens all across the nation in 2,700 schools. This fundraiser has raised over 31 million dollars!  “It’s not just one person that can make a difference, it takes a little bit from everybody and allows everyone to participate”. Student Council member Cameron Kiser says. Page High School ended up raising a little over $3,500 to go towards the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society!

One of our fellow Page Pirates, Hailey Hawkins has recently been diagnosed with Leukemia and has begun her battle. Thank you to all Pirates who have donated to this great cause and please keep Hailey in your thoughts. #Hailey’sArmy
