On Tuesday April 19^th, the Lady Pirates soccer team took on crosstown and conference rival, the Grimsley Whirlies. The Pirates escaped with a narrow 1-0 win in what was a closely contested game. Nicolette Robinson scored the lone Pirates goal off of an assist from Tatum Neff. This was a huge win for the Pirates against an impressive Grimsley squad. The opposing Whirlies came into the contest with a 12-1-1 record and their sole loss coming from the Pirates earlier this season when the two teams faced off at Grimsley. The win helped boost the Pirates record to 12-2-1 overall and 6-0 in conference. This places the Pirates atop conference rankings.
