To go or not to go to College?

As all Seniors may know; College Week is approaching and college essays are soon to be due. It’s definitely a stressful and time consuming process; seniors are making the choice as to where they want to go to college or even deciding if they even want to go to college after they graduate high school. I know many people who didn’t or don’t want to go to college, including myself; I used to think that it was a requirement for me to go to college after high school in order to prove myself to people. It wasn’t until last year when I realized that my decision to not go to college like everyone else wasn’t something I should be afraid to talk about; a gentleman had came into my English class last year and talked about how he went to college but didn’t end up with the career he thought he was going to receive. On the other hand, the gentleman’s other friend who didn’t go to college ended up becoming really successful and set for life with many benefits. I’m not trying to bash the individuals who choose college; going to college is a great opportunity and there are many people out there as well who have successfully achieved the career that they’ve majored. Basically what I’m trying to say is college or not, there’s always room for success. I will say, though, do something with your life if you choose to not to go to college or even after you graduate from college. Take advantage of your life; it’s way too short just to sit around and not accomplish anything. Shoot for nothing but success; dream big for yourself.
