Robertson’s Reportings: Single Dose Vaccine, Royal Family Fallout

Welcome back to another week of Robertson’s Reportings! Recently, multiple people across Greensboro have reported being attacked by coyotes. In the Lake Brandt area, there have been six coyote attacks in just two days. Four people were actually bitten but others were left unharmed. In one case, a coyote charged at a local biker, popping his tire. Luckily, the man escaped without being hurt.Another woman reported seeing two coyotes while she was walking her dog at night. She too was not hurt, but wildlife experts have said that with this season being time for breeding, it is very possible to see coyotes at night or in the day.

President Biden announced his plans to secure an additional 100 million doses of the new Johnson and Johnson COVID-19 vaccine. This vaccine has also been cleared for use in the European Union. Now, at least countries in Europe and in the United States have access to some of the one shot vaccines, which is a major step because the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines require two different doses that are spread out. All of these vaccines have a higher effectiveness percent for preventing COVID-19 than flu shots have for preventing the flu. For people aged 16 years and older, the Pfizer vaccine is available, but the other two vaccines are only available for those over the age of 18.

After what news websites are calling an “explosive interview,” the royal family in England is trying to recover from Oprah’s interview with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. In this interview, the couple bashed the royal family, their own family, about an unnamed member being racist and about conflict between Kate Middleton, Prince William’s wife, and Markle. In January of 2020, Prince Harry and Markle quit the royal family and moved to California. Now, the couple is speaking out against the royal family. In response, the family in England denied the claims about anyone being racist against any person of color, specifically Markle who is part African American.
