Page XC Comes Up Big

Last Monday the pirates Cross Country team competed in the Guilford county Championship. The girls fought hard but finished 6^th overall. The men won the Guilford county championship coming in first place. Junior Ian Shanklin shined for the pirates finishing in second place. Coming in third place, Junior, Freddie Marx finished coming in third place. Lastly, Finishing 17^th overall sophomore Stuart Coates.

You can catch the Pirates at the next cross country meet this Wednesday, September 9^th at Southern Alamance. This is a very important meet coming up for the Pirates; the top 7 finishers go to Wilmington this Saturday for the UNCW invitational. Good luck to those pirates!
