Pirates Get Big Wins Over Grimsley and GDS

On Wednesday, April 6th the Page Men’s lacrosse team played Grimsley. Page won big against their rivals 16-2 with seven different Pirates scoring. At the top of the board Hobson Sherrill scored 4 goals, Ryan Scully had 3 goals and 3 assists, Jack Maginnes had 2 goals and 5 assists, Jack Boydoh had 2 goals and an assist, Parker Pearsall had 2 goals, and both Landon Spivey and Bryan Bell had one goal a piece.

Since this Grimsley game the Pirates have slowed down a bit, going 3-2 in their past 5 games. After a great win against an impressive GDS team followed by a win against Williams, the Pirates were upset by RJ Reynolds in overtime on April 13th. The Pirates lacrosse team followed this up with a close victory over the Northern Nighthawks but last night they lost a double overtime thriller against Mount Tabor, a top 10 team in the state. The Pirates now stand at 12-2 and are still the most threatening team in the conference and can hang with the best teams in the state. The rest of the season should be bright for the Pirates.
