Over the holiday break, the Pirates men’s basketball team competed in the HAECO invitational tournament. The Pirates were the third seed entering the tournament, and on December 26th the Pirates played Ragsdale, defeating the tigers 73-52. Jahlen King led the Pirates with scoring with 25 points. The Pirates were outlasted in their next game against Smith, losing 46-68. On the 28th, the Pirates played Northern for the third place game. The Pirates lost 62-60 to place 4th in the tournament. The Pirates travel to Northwest high school on January 9th to play the Vikings. Go Pirates.
