Men’s Tennis Acing Their First Games

The Men’s Tennis team played their first game on March 5 at Page. Last year, the team had a very successful season, only losing four games and winning twelve. Unfortunately, the team lost in only the second round of the tournament game. This year, the team hopes to advance to the championships. The team is made of two seniors, six juniors, and the rest, twelve players, are freshmen and sophomores.

In their first game of the season, a game against Northern, Page won. The final score was 7-2. William Gregory, Walt Wright, Grant Connors, Jack Davis, and Arjun Singh won their single rounds. In the double rounds, Quinn Boxley and Walt Wright defeated Northern’s doubles, and Josh Keys and Black McGowan from Page also won. In their next game which took place on March 9, Page won and did not let Ragsdale score any points. The next game will be on March 16 at Northwest at 5:00. Hopefully, the Pirates continue to ace the season!
