October 27th wrapped up the JV football season. The Pirates played a hard-fought game away against the Falcons of Southeast. At halftime the score was 14-7, and the Pirates were down. Coach Hann gave the team their halftime talk. During this talk, he stated “Once we tighten up on defense, they won’t score again.” He was right. The Pirate defense dominated Thursday night including sacks, causing incomplete passes, stopping plays and so much more! The Pirates tied the game with 10 minutes left in the 4th quarter! The team held the Falcons and with 3 minutes left, we scored a 3-point field goal, making the score Pirates-17, Falcons-14. The Pirates walked away with a win and a backflip by Coach Hann. The JV boys had a great season, finishing 6-4 overall and placing high in their conference.
