Nolan Cook, Senior here at Page, went on a mission trip to New York City. Nolan went with West Minister Presbyterian. While there they stayed in a basement of one of the churches, they took a pray tour, worked in soup kitchen, worked in the daycare at the church, which they also taught a Bible lesson at, they gardened and cleaned the church, and they worked at a food bank. When asked about his experience Nolan said, “It was an eye opening experience to how harsh the world can be if you don’t take education seriously.” When asked about his favorite part, Nolan said, “Getting to talk and connect with the homeless people was my favorite part. It felt good to give back to the community.” Mission trips are offered by many churches, so to attend a mission trip you could go to church.
