Naomi Onadein is January’s Student of the Month. She is a Chairman at the Greensboro Youth Council which is the first youth council in the nation, she is trilingual (English, German, and Spanish), and she has about 568 service hours throughout all years of high school. When asked how she felt about being Student of the Month Naomi said, “It feels shocking, but it’s awesome. I have worked hard and it’s nice to see that my hard work has been noticed. I’m glad that I’m Student of the Month.” Naomi will miss her teachers from Page the most because she felt like her teachers wanted her to succeed and past teachers she has had still check on her and care for her as a student and as a person. Her favorite part of Page so far has been the friends she’s made throughout the years and the fun times at the football games. Naomi said, “I want people to know that I care about my friends and look out for them. Since I am an only child, she thinks her friends as family. I love working in the community and doing community service. I’m open-minded to many perspectives. Don’t procrastinate in school, it’s not worth it. Being organized and having a schedule is good when you’re in IB. You have to find the balance between school and your social life.” Congratulations Naomi on being January’s Student of the Month!
