Art Show

Art Show

The art show on April 22 featured the work of many art students here at Page. Students in AP Studio Art, IB Art and Design, and Honors Advanced Visual Art which is the Art IV class were featured. Also, a select few from Art I, II and III were chosen by their teachers to be featured. Throughout the school year, the AP and IB classes created works for their portfolio. At the end of the year, the students turn in their portfolio for their tests. Basically, the works being displayed at the art show is their final exam. Art IV’s curriculum is modeled after the AP Art class, but the purpose of creating their portfolio is solely for the art show. The art show gives the students a great opportunity to show off their hard work and discuss it with others. Ms. Davis, Ms. Arante, and Mrs. Scarbro would like to thank GySgt Sweeny and his students for their help in moving the display boards to the gym, Mrs. Haghighi and her orchestra for playing at their opening reception, and the athletic department for letting them take over the gym for three days. If you want to be featured in the art show next year, make sure to sign up for one of the art classes.
