Wednesday Wisdom

Winter break is only a few weeks away and many students are already starting to zone out and forget that they are still in school. Kids are slacking off because they are so ready for break. Even though it feels like it is just around the corner, kids can not stop focusing on their work. As Sam Levenson once said, “Don’t watch the clock; do what it does. Keep going.” That’s exactly what kids need to be doing. They need to stop obsessing over how many days there are until break and focus on what matters right now. By focusing on their schoolwork and other responsibilities, the time will fly by until it is hard to believe that it is already time for winter break. Do what you are supposed to do now so you do not go on break having too many things that you neglected to do during the weeks before break.
