French Club and Krispy Kreme Team Up for Fundraiser

From February 13 to 19, Page’s French Club is selling donuts for only $1 each. Fresh from Krispy Kreme, these original donuts are the perfect way to say “Happy Valentine’s Day!” A table will be set up during all three lunches to make your purchases. Buy one donut, or buy a dozen for a class, group of friends, a family member, or yourself! All of the proceeds will go to the club for their t-shirts. Initially, the club members planned to sell European chocolates, but, after lots of research and planning, the group came to the conclusion that donuts would be a bigger hit with students and staff.

French Club, made up of eleven students, is open to anybody currently enrolled in a French class of any level. The club started meeting at the end of September, but anyone is welcome to drop by at the monthly meeting. Aside from planning this fundraiser, the group plays French games and sports, learns about French culture, and they even have a dinner planned. The club president is Sophia Robertson, the vice president is Madje Akouegnon, and the secretary is Darynne Akouegnon. These three officers plan meetings and organize events with the help of Madame Brozzi, Page’s French teacher. For more information about joining next year, visit Room 200 to speak with Madame Brozzi. If you fit the other requirements and are in French III or IV, you have the chance to join the French Honor Society. Don’t forget to bring a dollar, or maybe more, to support French Club and enjoy a Valentine’s Day treat
