National English Honor Society is thrilled to announce that we will be donating books to Cone Elementary. The book drive is already in session, beginning November 1st and closing December 16th. ALL books are welcome, as long as they are at a K-5 reading level. No matter how used and torn the books may be, they are still readable!

You will have the opportunity to gain service hours by donating! Students can log 30 minutes per book, with the max being 3 hours (6 books). This does not mean students are only allowed to donate 6 books! It is simply a limit on available service hours for the donation. Make sure to drop off your books to Mrs. OConnell in Room 404. PLEASE attach your first and last name so the team can indicate the books came from you in order to award you with your service hours.

NEHS will meet once a month in Mrs. OConnell’s room. Unfortunately, we will not be able to read books to children due to uncontrollable circumstances. However, we are currently looking for alternatives, such as sending positive affirmation letters to elementary schools.
