We all know about how Artificial Intelligence is becoming a tool that anyone can use and that some people think that it is just a cause for cheating on essays while others are using it to its full potential. We have all probably been exposed to it without even realizing, for example it is used on apps like Instagram and Amazon to name a few. 

There are 7 different types of AI being Narrow AI (designed to fulfill specific tasks and is unable to learn independently), Artificial General Intelligence (made to learn and perform at similar levels to humans), Artificial Superintelligence (to surpass the knowledge and capabilities of humans), Reactive Machine AI (able to respond to external stimuli but has no long term memory storage), Limited Memory AI (can store knowledge and use it to learn and train for future tasks), Theory of Mind AI (can respond to human emotions plus perform the tasks of limited memory machines), and Self-Aware AI (recognizes others’ emotions as well as has a sense of self and human level intelligence). 

The AI that makes many types of pictures is generative AI which can be a few of the types above. Some people have used generative AI to make people believe that a celebrity supports them politically and to make fake news more believable to the people who don’t know the difference. There is also good that this AI has done like making it easier to make content and help copywriters develop and copy product descriptions more easily. You may have noticed but all the images in this article are AI generated. 

AI has an unpredictable future but many groups are striving to specific goals with AI like improving manufacturing, customer service, healthcare and many more. Is it likely that AI will take over the world? Definitely not, but it can help militaries improve many different things like weapons and decision support systems. 

While we know that artificial intelligence is a great tool it is up to us if it is used for good like improved businesses or bad like making fake news in the future.
