Liveship Traders is one of my favorite fantasy series out there. The trilogy is set in a world where prosperous traders own Liveships, sentient vessels that can navigate even the most complex currents and withstand the most acidic waters. The story follows far too many protagonists for me to give a comprehensive preliminary description of each, so I will leave that up for those of you who wish to read the series. Liveship Traders is my personal favorite low fantasy story, with it focusing more on the human aspects than the giant serpents in the water (Though this is also important). I haven´t read the connected series of the world Liveship Traders in a part of which is called the Realm of the Elderlings, but I hope to at some point, given how good this series was. Well, in conclusion, if you like piracy, politics, and nautical machinations, I would give this series a read.
