Welcoming Our New Principal

As many of you may know, Mr. Hines, our principal, has decided to retire. Hines was in his second year here at Page, as he took over as interim when Dr. Faison left, and was eventually hired as principal. The long-time Guilford County teacher and administrator loved his time here at Page, but decided his time had come. Mrs. Timmons-McGlaughlin will take over as interim principal through the end of the school year. She was hired as an assistant principal at the start of the 2017-2018 school year. Before Page, Timmons-McGlaughlin was at the Central Office working as a School Support Administrator.
Timmons-McGlaughlin feels that she was chosen for the position due to her dedication to the school system, as well as the way she has been able to adapt to Page, quickly becoming a favorite of staff and students alike. That quick adjustment came with the welcoming nature and strong culture of Page, and Timmons-McGlaughlin says she always appreciates the “hellos” and pats on the back in the halls. As many have already learned, our new principal is making some changes here at school. She says that she is listening to feedback from students, staff, and parents, as well as trying to keep things relatively the same. Timmons-McGlaughlin is very excited to serve the Page community and is appreciative of everyone’s warm wishes.
