Naglee Sets Sail as Pirates’ New Captain

Welcome Erik Naglee to Page High School! We are excited to have such an outstanding addition to this year’s administration. He has been a principal at multiple levels and is excited to create consistency in our school by sticking around for a long time. He was a 2017 finalist for Principal of the Year and previously worked at Northwest Middle for two years. He is hardworking and considers himself to be a visible school leader in many different areas. He is the proud father of four boys and tries to spend as much time with them as he can. Being a family man takes up the majority of his free time as he dedicates it to engaging in activities that his children and wife enjoy. Changes have been and will continue to be made this school year, according to Mr. Naglee. If a change is made that, in the end, does not benefit the school as the administration would have hoped, Naglee says that they will own up to it and do whatever they need to do moving forward to help our school for the better. Over the course of the year he wants to hold the students to high expectations because he “believes our students can achieve it and they will achieve it.” Pushing our school back to the forefront of education in the achievement world is something he also hopes to accomplish. He claims that “graduating students that are ready for anything regardless of their background” is essential to our school’s excellence. Mr. Naglee’s hope and goal for this year is to increase achievement and school pride. He recognizes the hesitation of students and administration to fully trust him due to the many principal’s this school has had as of late. He has even “been asked so many times” how long he is going to stay and hopes that through the year he will gain the school and its community’s trust. When asked about what the school’s recent motto “Dream Big” means for this school he said that he dreams to “become the best school in every area in the district and eventually become the best high school in the state.”

Mr. Naglee, we can’t wait to see what you and our school can accomplish this year and many years after that! Pirates, don’t forget to Dream Big!
