Page High School’s Band, Orchestra, and Choir went on a trip to Universal Studios in Orlando, FL where we were allowed a lesson taught in one of the studios of the park.
The lesson consisted of a 2-minute segment of a movie where the band and orchestra would do a piece, and the choir would perform a separate piece for the same segment.
Once the recording of the music was finished, the supervisors took volunteers and they did some of the voice-acting for some of the characters on screen. After the voice acting was done, the supervisors gave a brief history on Foley special effects and allowed a volunteer to help create these effects with various tools and sound recordings.
After all this a finished product was produced, that being the 2-minute segment of the movie with a musical score, voice-acting, and sound effects.
Overall, a wonderful experience and a great lesson if you are interested in any musical classes and the creation of movies.
