On Saturday, May 9th, my friends and I went out and stopped behind an old shut-down convenience store to take pictures. While we were there, we turned our heads and saw two kittens near the building completely alone, looking scared and hungry. Right away, the first thing we thought was that we wanted to keep them. We didn’t want to leave them outside, especially at such a young and vulnerable age.
Our friend drove us to the store, and we bought supplies for the kittens, including food and other essentials. After that came the difficult part: calling our parents. At first, they both said no because we already had cats, and taking in more pets would be another financial responsibility. Since the kittens were strays, we were also worried about getting our other cats sick.
However, after a lot of convincing and explaining the situation, our parents finally agreed to let us keep the kittens. I adopted the boy kitten and named him Muzan. He is a fluffy brown tabby with a huge personality. My friend Liberty kept the girl kitten, who is a tuxedo cat, and named her Sensei.
What started as a day of taking pictures by a convenience store turned into rescuing two abandoned kittens and giving them safe homes. Even better, the kittens will still be able to see each other because Liberty and I plan to arrange playdates for them. Muzan and Sensei quickly became part of our families.
