Why Do People Feel the Need to Record Every Moment?

Why+Do+People+Feel+the+Need+to+Record+Every+Moment%3F

Documenting all moments and occurrences is a must in today’s digital world. This behavior can be attributed to several factors:

Memory Augmentation: We believe that continuous picture-taking changes our ability to remember, and we use images as a memory.

Social Validation: Some people record and share their moments in social spaces where they get validations and approvals that foster a feeling of social belonging and affirmation.

Mindfulness and Awareness: For some others, particularly for those using recording as a medium for mindfulness, it creates a non-judgmental state, where one’s observations are made with utmost conscious awareness of one’s experiences in the present moment.

Is it good or bad?

The answer varies. Recording can help in building memories and connectivity. However, excessive usage of records makes one isolated in moments of the present time. In conclusion, it is imperative to maintain a balance when it comes to having a healthy relationship with modern technology.

Reflections on Our Society

Such is a strong desire to record which signifies social values of connections, and digital expression. Nevertheless, it gives rise to various moral issues because these include confidentiality problems and mental health issues.

However, recording moments is quite a sophisticated matter that involves a quest for social validation, better memory, and social practices. It is imperative to find a mindful balance while taking ethical implications into consideration when dealing with this aspect of contemporary life.

Cheikh Toure, Staff Writer
Hi my name is Cheikh Toure. I'm currently, in my 3rd year at Page High School. I am from the country of Togo, where French is our official language. Throughout my time at Page High School soccer has played a role in shaping my journey. Being part of the school's soccer team has taught me lessons in discipline, teamwork, and perseverance. Moreover, beyond the field, I've discovered a passion for writing. Fiction is particularly intriguing to me as it allows me to unleash my imagination. Whether it's embarking on thrilling adventures or exploring the depth of emotions writing has become an outlet for me to express my creativity. In addition to my love for storytelling and creativity through writing, I've developed an interest in technology and engineering. Exploring computer coding and learning about its intricacies interests me. Once I graduate from school my aspiration is to pursue a career as a software engineer. Apart from fiction and technology pursuits staying informed about world news has also become an aspect of my life. Keeping up with world news broadens my perspectives. Enhances my understanding of our evolving world. As I continue on this journey at Page High School I am grateful for the experiences that have shaped me into the person I am today. My background dedication to sportsmanship and thirst for knowledge all contribute to shaping who I am becoming. I am excited to welcome the opportunities that the future holds for me.
